Concept Statement
Arachnotron is a fast-paced single player third-person shooter in which the player controls a spider-like robotic battle vehicle that can crawl easily on any surface, including walls and ceilings. The player must learn the layout of the room’s terrain and use it to their advantage to survive an onslaught of various insectoid robots and then take down a gigantic boss by climbing it and blasting it apart piece by piece. With every surface available as a movement option, the player will have to gain a good sense of the terrain around them and balance positioning themselves to take out enemies with getting out of the way of incoming attacks

Time Frame
August 2018 - May 2019 (8 Months)
Joined the team mid-development in November of 2018​
Brought on with the goal of creating and implementing a new QA pipeline, and to work on Level Design.

  • Weapon Iteration
    • ​Implementation of new weapons
    • Testing damage and feel
    • Connecting Weapons to Level Design

  • Enemy & Boss Design and Iteration
    • ​Assisted the Lead Designer and Programmers
    • Helped Concept the Millipede Train Boss

  • Running QA testing 3 times a week (27 overall)
    • Created and implemented a new Pipeline
    • ​Executed Daily Smoke Tests
    • Monitored Usability Tests
    • Logged and Tracked Bugs

  • Dividing bug fixes among team members​
    • ​Created multiple spreadsheets to help keep the team on track
    • Used concepts of SCRUM while creating different documents
