Game Designer and Certified Scrum MasterAbout Me!I am originally from Fort Worth Texas. Currently I am an Associate Test Engineer at Bungie. In 2019 I graduated with a Bachelor's in Science Degree in Game Design at Champlain College, located in Burlington Vermont (and I spent a little time at the campus abroad in Montreal Canada). I grew up playing games on my Nintendo GameCube and going to tech camps. From 2015 to 2017 I was an instructor at iD Tech teaching kids and teens how to program and make games. In the winter and spring of 2018 I was a Game Design/Game Production intern at Iron Belly Studios in Montreal Canada. Just one month after graduating college in 2019 I moved to Bellevue, Washington to work at Bungie as a Contract Quality Assurance Tester. After a brief stint of realizing Graduate School at SMU just wasn't for me I was re-hired at Bungie to a full-time position. After shipping 2 more expansions I decided to leave to be closer to family and accepted a Game Design position on Madden with EA. I have a passion to inspire others and my goal as a designer is to put a smile on a players face through my unique systems and mechanics!
While I am a Designer at heart, I have a huge appreciation for Quality Assurance Testing as it helps games become well polished. Breaking games is fun, because it is a learning experience, especially if it is your own. Though I graduated many years ago, I still hold the record for the most hours as a developer at Champlain's QA Lab in the 17+ year history of the Game Studio. I finished at over 125 hours worth of Developer QA during my Senior Year! I am a movie theater fanatic and a good portion of my creative process with games can be attributed to watching moves! If I am ever stuck and need to think about something I will usually go to a theater to watch a film in a different way to get ideas! (Looking at storytelling through prop design in Now You See Me is my favorite example of this.) Here are some of my favorite movies in no particular order: 1. The Martian 2. Now You See Me 3. Kingsman the Secret Service 4. Kubo and the Two Strings 5. Power Rangers (2017) 6. Mad Max: Fury Road 7. Nacho Libre 8. Pacific Rim 9. Bullet Train |
