Color Conundrum

Concept Statement

Perception is a tool that will help educators teach third graders about visual disabilities. Our plan is to create four games that will teach kids about different visual disabilities: color-blindness, blindness, near sighted, and face blindness. This tool will be designed for third graders to use. Meaning that the UI will be simple enough for third graders to use without impeding their learning. We will also use a kid friendly art style to further immerse the third graders in the game. While this game will be designed for third grade players it will be made for teachers to use to help further third graders education on visual disabilities.

Color Conundrum is the game from Perception that focuses on color-blindness. It is a 2D platforming game that revolves around the use of modified 3D glasses with only red filters. In it the player must get through different levels while the glasses mess with their perception! This game had to be backed in research and we used documents that NASA made about colorblindness in the 90s!
